Help! in English!

Hi,

I just bought a MLS Destinator 4800, it seems ok but I dunno how to update maps. I went into www.ngi.gr and since i dunno greek very well it was hard for me to find what i wanted. What is the process to upgrade maps on the 4800? My other question is charging the 4800 it seems that its taking forever to charge it with the USB is there something wrong? thanks for the help and sorry for not speaking greek.

Hello pal and whelcome to our forum! I can't remember the exact procedure but i will try to help you. First of all, i guess that you already have an ngi greek map and not the navtech one-if not you have to buy the ngi greek map first. Take care that you have your activation keys with you because they will be asked. When you enter the site go to the button "e-shop". Then click on the word "κλειδιά" on the left. You have to create an account, so click on "Είμαι νέος χρήστης" button. Write your e-mail, a password (which you choose) and the rest field and click on "Εγγραφή". If i remember good, it will drive you to a form where you have to enter the activation key of your map. When you finish with all these, go to the left where it must be a "χάρτες" link and you download the first one.

As for your charging problem, the usb charge from a laptop takes much longer than the normal charging. Use a wall charger.

Greek maps in MLS 4800 it is Gi for sure.

At the process of registration in these PNA devices, is only required the licence key (with 25 numbers & letters). It does not need did and activation key.

Thank you very much for that. Ive already went to the same place before many times but never tried the key since i thought other keys were needed. it worked and i can see the maps now. I have the latest, but is it possible that previous maps contain more POIs? coz i was trying to find some famous POIs (like deja-vu restaurant) and couldnt on the current map. The map is amazing with roads and everything but i think its poor in POIs. what do u think? thanks again.

Where is that restaurant? Because i can see one in thesaloniki. But of course there are more..

its a famous one in athens, there is in maroussi, kifissia ... anyways maybe its only famous for me :P

No, it's famous for everybody.. bigsmile The street is Δηληγιάννη 56 in Κηφισιά (In "πόλη" you enter "Κηφισιά Αττικής" and then the street "Δηληγιάννη Θεόδ." and the number). Of course, there is another one in "The Mall"..

yeah exactly, and since its not a POI it bugged me :P

It's not possible all the restaurants, bar, clubs, cafe of the whole greece to enter in the map. Many of them ask by themselfes to enter in the POIs. That's how the system works, it is not a bug. Even with that way you have the right place and you will not miss your dinner finally.. ;-)
